On the West Side of Charleston, West Virginia, a historically black community that has suffered from the decline of the coal industry and other compounding factors, Keep Your Faith Corporation (KYFC) is focused on supporting the social, health, and economic needs of the community. As the area continues to transition away from coal and other extractive industries, KYFC is now working to build a culturally sensitive workforce development model that addresses the unique needs of diverse rural communities through behavioral health services, skill development, and workforce readiness programming. These initiatives will help to create a resilient and sustainable workforce for a strengthening economy.
