Six JTF-supported projects recently won funding through the Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC)’s Partnerships for Opportunity and Workforce and Economic Revitalization (POWER) Initiative, resulting in $5 million leveraged in coal communities in Appalachia.
The JTF is excited to support two projects in coal-impacted communities for their applications to the Economic Development Administration’s Good Jobs Challenge (GJC). Through this initiative, the EDA plans to make 5-8 awards totaling $25 million to support regional workforce training ecosystems.

As one of three Digital Equity Act programs, the Competitive Grant Program will award $1.25 billion in funds to support projects that promote digital equity and advance greater broadband adoption. We're supporting projects in Texas, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and Kentucky.

With this program, the USDA will make grants and loans to expand broadband infrastructure and services in rural areas.
