Three JTF grantee partners have been selected as host communities for the inaugural IEDC fellows program. In February, the first cohort of 65 Economic Recovery Corps (ERC) fellows began cultivating the next generation of economic development leaders in some of the hardest hit and most economically distressed areas in the U.S. Host projects are located in 44 states and territories, and of the 65 Host sites, 62 percent are rural, 23 percent are mixed (urban, suburban, and rural), and 15 percent are urban. The participating JTF partners are:
- Wind River Development Fund – Creating A Sustainable Ecotourism Model on Wind River Indian Reservation
- Greater Peoria EDC – Connecting the Dots through Business Outreach
- Shaping Our Appalachian Region (SOAR) – Uniting Eastern Kentucky under One Regional Economic Development Action Plan
