In northeastern Wyoming, the thermal coal market is expected to continue declining over the next several years. In response to these conditions, The Gillette College Foundation Office of Economic Transformation, in partnership with Gillette College and the University of Wyoming, will establish an entrepreneurial ecosystem designed to create more and better entrepreneurs. Some of the services this project will provide include educational programs, meetups and mentoring services, entrepreneur-in-residence (EIR) support, grant funding support, internships, hackathons, and more. Fostering an environment for entrepreneurship to thrive will lead to a more diverse economy in northeastern Wyoming.
<< Learn more about our impact“As a recipient of the Get Ready Challenge grant, we are thrilled to expand our focus on the entrepreneurial ecosystem in our community. This grant has allowed us to provide additional resources to support the work we are currently doing, as well as support a start up challenge this fall. Entrepreneurship has been identified as a key component to diversifying our local economies in an ever changing energy market. Thank you for your support of this endeavor in Campbell County!”
